the silent heartbeat of hospitality,” says Ms. Sarita Fernandes, Area
Director – Housekeeping, IHCL Goa. “Guests may not always see us, but they
always feel us—in the freshness of their rooms, in the thoughtful details. This
week is about celebrating that spirit while inspiring the next generation to
view housekeeping as more than a profession—it is an expression of care.”
The celebration includes workshops, expert panels, and interactive sessions that explore the future of housekeeping—from sustainable practices to wellness-driven guest experiences. With students actively participating, IHCL bridges classroom learning with the lived ethos of service, instilling pride in a profession often overlooked but always felt.
At the inaugural
session at Taj Cidade de Goa, Horizon, Mr. Ranjit Phillipose, Sr Vice
President – Operations, IHCL Goa, shared:
